About Jiading Ancient Tree Park
Jiading Ancient Tree Park is located in Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. It is an ancient tree community landscape with the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree numbered 0001 as the core. The oldest ginkgo tree in Shanghai (1,200 years old) currently exists in the park, with a height of 24.5 meters, a chest circumference of 6.5 meters, and a crown diameter of 20 meters. It is recognized as "the oldest tree in Shanghai". In addition to thousand-year-old trees, there are also many 200-year-old ginkgo communities. The park is open to the public free of charge all year round. The golden leaf landscape is particularly outstanding in autumn, and the fallen leaves on the ground can form a unique viewing scene. The reconstruction project plan announced in May 2024 shows that the planned land area is 19,893.71 square meters, aiming to optimize the function of park green space.
