About Nanning ancient city wall
Nanning Ancient City Wall is located on the east side of the northern end of Yongjiang Bridge in Nanning City. The existing brick wall remains about 4 meters high and has two horse faces. The wall thickness ranges from 0.4 meters at the top to 1.0 meters at the bottom. In 2005, the municipal government carried out a restoration project in accordance with Qing Dynasty specifications, restoring the 50-meter-long blue brick outer eaves and two horse faces in the eastern section. After repair, the total length of the city wall was 112 meters, and the height was increased to about 12 meters. It is now the only remaining ancient city wall in Nanning. In 2004, it was listed as one of the first batch of cultural relics sites in Nanning City. In 2007, it was announced as a municipal cultural relic protection unit.
