About Luofu Mountain Guanyin Ancient Temple

Luofu Mountain Guanyin Ancient Temple is located in Luofu Mountain Scenic Area, Boluo County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It was originally called "Guanyin Ancient Temple". It was built in the Song Dynasty and has a history of thousands of years. The temple is located at the foothills of Luofu Mountain. As an important part of the Lingnan religious holy land, it together with the surrounding nine temples and eighteen temples forms a complex of buildings that blend Buddhism and Taoism. The ancient temple has gone through vicissitudes of life, and by the end of the last century only its ruins remained. In 2005, the great monk Shangfoxiayou presided over the reconstruction, relying on the support of the government and society to gradually restore the temple facilities, and planned to build a corridor with reliefs of Sakyamuni Buddha and other projects.
