About Guangdong Museum of Art
Guangdong Art Museum is located at No. 38, Yanyu Road, Ersha Island, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It has a total construction area of 22,000 square meters. There are 12 exhibition halls on the first to third floors, with an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters, an outdoor sculpture display area of 5,000 square meters, and a 150-square-meter public education space and a 1,300-square-meter humanities library. It's an art museum. In 1984, the Guangdong Branch of the Chinese Artists Association (now known as the Guangdong Artists Association) initiated the construction of an art palace. It was completed and opened on November 28, 1997. It will be open to the public free of charge starting from June 29, 2011. According to the official website of the Guangdong Museum of Art in 2021, the Guangdong Museum of Art has collected 36,000 pieces (sets) of works.
