About Guangdong Times Museum
Guangdong Times Art Museum was funded and founded by Times Real Estate in 2003. It is located in Times Rose Garden, Baiyun District, Guangzhou and the first community art museum in South China. Its exhibition hall is located on the roof of a high-rise residential building. The art museum was officially opened to the public in October 2010, and was registered as a non-profit public welfare art museum in 2011. It will be rated 2A in 2022. In the "Delta Laboratory" of the Second Guangzhou Triennale in 2005, Rem Koolhaas and his assistants were invited to design a conceptual permanent building for the museum. The building was completed in September 2010. In August 2022, the museum announced that it would close the 19th floor exhibition hall project after the exhibition in October of that year.
