About Former site of Guangdong Provincial Farmers Association
The former site of the Guangdong Farmers Association is located at No. 6, Lixing Street, Donggao Avenue, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, with a total construction area of approximately 2,500 square meters. On May 1, the fourteenth year of the Republic of China (1925), the first Farmers’ Congress of Guangdong Province under the leadership of the Communist Party of China was held in Guangzhou, and the Guangdong Farmers Association was established. Until the "April 15th" counter-revolutionary coup in the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927), the Guangdong Provincial Peasants' Association used this as its base camp. The former site of the Guangdong Provincial Farmers Association was originally the garden villa of Chen Gongshou, deputy leader of the Guangzhou Business Group. It was a beige building.
