Comrade Zhou Enlai presided over the former site of the Military Commission of the Guangdong and Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Party of China, located at No. 190 Wanfu Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It was built in 1922 and completed the following year. It was originally the property of Nanhua Real Estate Co., Ltd. From May 1926 to April 1927, it served as the Military Commission Office of the Guangdong District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the residence of Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao. Zhou Enlai led the work of the Whampoa Military Academy and the special branch of the Communist Party of the National Revolutionary Army here, dispatched Communist Party members to the military academy and the army to carry out organizational construction, and made important contributions to the armed construction of Guangdong.
