About Tungping daa ap
Guangzhou Dongping Pawn Museum is located at No. 1, Zhongshan 4th Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. Its building is the "Dongping Daba" ancient pawnshop watchtower built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The museum is the first pawn-themed museum in mainland China. It is now an exhibition space that integrates the historical inheritance of pawns, cultural and artistic experience, and aesthetic cultivation and interaction. The building is a cultural relic protection unit in Guangzhou. In September 2008, the "Dongping Dabao" ancient watchtower was handed over to the pawn shop for management. The museum officially opened on August 3, 2010. It was closed for upgrades in the second half of 2018 and reopened in September 2019.
