About Guangdong Museum of Chinese Nationals Living Abroad
The Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum is the first provincial overseas Chinese museum in the country. It is located at No. 32 Yanyu Road, Ersha Island, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City. The foundation stone was laid in 1995, completed in 2002, and opened in November 2009. The construction area is 6,000 square meters, and the display and exhibition area is 4,200 square meters. There are more than 10,000 pieces (sets) in the collection. The basic display consists of the historical display of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, the residential buildings of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, and the review of the construction of the Overseas Chinese Museum in Guangdong. The "Exhibition of the History of Overseas Chinese in Guangdong" is divided into six parts: immigration overseas, hard work, cultural inheritance, lasting generosity, affection for hometown, and overseas Chinese affairs.
