About Xinhui College

Xinhui Academy is located at No. 42 Jiefang Road, Nanning City, Guangxi. It is a Qing Dynasty guild hall building. It was built by new members of Guangdong who lived in Nanning and raised funds. It was built in the early years of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1736-1740) and rebuilt in the 23rd year of Daoguang (1843). The building is a brick-and-wood structure with a hard-topped beam and blue brick plain walls. It has three entrances and two corridors. It is the most complete and largest Qing Dynasty guild hall building in Nanning. Xinhui Academy was once used as Gangzhou Primary School and Jiefang Road Primary School. After the abolition of the imperial examination in 1906, it was converted into Gangzhou Primary School. In 1981, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Nanning City. After repairs in 1987, it was used as a cultural relics exhibition hall.
