About Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Museum
The Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Museum is located at No. 183 Yanjiang West Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is located at the former site of the Wuxianmen Power Plant built in 1901 (a cultural relic protection unit of Guangzhou City). It is the only overseas Chinese museum in the country built using a century-old building, with a construction area of about 10,000 square meters. The museum officially started construction in September 2018 and was completed and opened on July 9, 2021. It will be open to the public for free from June 1, 2022, and has more than 16,000 items in its collection.
