About Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences
The Hong Kong Museum of Medicine is located at No. 2 Kin Lane, Mid-levels, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, China. It covers a total area of about 1,300 square meters and a construction area of about 1,000 square meters. It is a medical museum. In March of the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906), the Bacteriology Laboratory was completed and opened. After the 33rd year of the Republic of China (1945), the laboratory was renamed the Pathology Laboratory. In 1973, it was discontinued. In 1990, the Pathology Laboratory was officially listed as a statutory monument. The Hong Kong Government approved the use of the Pathology Laboratory by the Hong Kong Museum of Medicine Society and changed it into the Hong Kong Museum of Medicine. 1995, established. On March 22, 1996, it was officially opened.
