About China Merchants History Museum
China Merchants History Museum is located at No. 21 Yanshan Road, Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It is a social science history museum. It covers an area of 3,430 square meters, with a construction area of 6,153 square meters and an exhibition hall area of approximately 1,000 square meters. China Merchants Group invested in the construction of China Merchants History Museum in 2003. In early 2004, preparations for the construction of the China Merchants History Museum began. On September 6, 2004, it was officially opened to the public free of charge. As of the end of 2019, there were 1,005 pieces (sets) of cultural relics in the China Merchants History Museum. According to information from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in 2022, there are currently 7,397 collections/sets and 7,000 visitors.
