About Guangzhou Museum
Guangzhou Museum is a first-class public welfare and division-level institution under the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. It is located at No. 99 Zhenhai Road (inside Yuexiu Park), Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It has a total construction area of 7,600 square meters and the total construction area of Zhenhai Tower is 4,386 square meters. It is a local comprehensive museum and a national second-level museum. Zhenhai Tower was built in the 13th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1380). It is 28 meters high and divided into five floors, commonly known as "five-story building". On February 11, the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), it was officially opened to the outside world. From 1941 to 1945, it was called the Guangzhou Municipal Library Museum. From 1946 to 1949, it was called Guangzhou Municipal Museum.
