About Panlong Shiju
Panlong Shiju is a Hakka enclosed house built in the third year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1864). It was built by Shifu Gong, the eighth generation ancestor of the Huang family in Kengzi, under the planning of his mother. The building adopts the layout of three halls, two horizontals and four corners, covering an area of 1,780 square meters. The main body is a brick-wood structure with rammed earth walls, and the roof is covered with small green tiles, which has the characteristics of a typical four-corner house. The building was listed as an immovable cultural relic in Pingshan District in 2018. After the renovation project was completed in 2020, public cultural facilities were added, and it was revitalized through activities such as the Local Art Season in 2023.
