About Longwei Shiju

The Longwei House is located in Shaliyuan Village, Xiuxin Community, Kengzi Street, Pingshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the fifth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty. The house is centered on the Huang family ancestral hall and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. It is one of the large-scale Hakka house enclosures in the Kengzi area. There is a couplet inside the door "Jiangxia Family Fame: Dongguan Shize Long" and a plaque "Longwei House". Due to being uninhabited for many years, they fell into disrepair and many of them collapsed. Several blockhouses around the enclosure still exist, one of which is well preserved and has 4 floors in total.
