About Changlong Shiju
Changlong World Residence is located in Jinsha Village, Kengzi Street, Pingshan District, Shenzhen City. It was built by Huang Tingyuan (also known as Meifeng Gong), the fifth generation ancestor of the Huang family, in the 59th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1794). The building adopts the layout of three halls, four horizontals and four corners, facing the northeast and southwest. Covering an area of about 6,225 square meters (some say 6,485 square meters), it is a typical Hakka dragon house shape. The building is made of Sanhe rammed earth. The outer wall is equipped with defensive structures such as lookout windows and turrets. There is a stone plaque of "Changlong Shiju" on the forehead of the main door, and the couplet "Yingchuan Shize, Jiangxia Jiasheng" is engraved on the lintel. The interior includes archways, Tianjie, and Huang's ancestral hall.
