About Guangzhou Maritime Museum
The Guangzhou Maritime Museum is located about 120 meters southeast of the intersection of Fengdu Street and Qinghe South Street in Miaotou, Huangpu District, Guangzhou (east of the Nanhai Temple). It is the only thematic museum with the theme of "Maritime" in Guangdong Province. It was officially opened on June 29, 2021. The museum covers a total area of 35,738 square meters, with a construction area of 10,000 square meters in the first phase. The architectural design incorporates Guangzhou boat modeling elements and traditional Guangfu architectural symbols. The main building is shaped like a ship floating on the water, and a 6-meter-wide "approach bridge" is set up at the entrance to create the image of boarding a ship.
