About henzhen Paleontological Museum
The Shenzhen Museum of Paleontology is located in the eastern suburbs of Luohu District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at the foot of Wutong Mountain, the highest peak in Shenzhen City. It covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters, with an outdoor exhibition area of 1,800 square meters, a construction area of more than 2,200 square meters, and an indoor display area of more than 2,000 square meters. Shenzhen Museum of Paleontology is the first museum in China named after paleontology. Approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, it was established by the Shenzhen Urban Management Bureau in 1998 and officially opened to the outside world on April 29, 2001.
