About Shenzhen Art Academy
Shenzhen Painting Academy is a professional art creation research institution established by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in 1987. In 2021, it was integrated into the Shenzhen Public Cultural and Art Creation Center and remains listed. It is now a public welfare institution directly under the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In 2025, it was included in the list of state-owned public welfare collection units (the first batch). The institute is located on the bank of Silver Lake, with a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. It is equipped with exhibition halls, studios, professional art libraries and other facilities. The current director is Dong Xiaoming, who is mainly responsible for art creation research, exhibition exchanges and talent training. It currently has 6 departments.
