About Jiangxi Provincial Museum

Jiangxi Provincial Museum is located at No. 698 Ganjiang North Avenue, Honggutan District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is the largest comprehensive museum in the province, one of the first batch of national first-level museums, the province’s patriotic education base, and the first batch of ancient books key protection units in Jiangxi Province. The museum has a construction area of 86,000 square meters and an exhibition area of 28,000 square meters. The Jiangxi Provincial Museum was established in 1953, from the old museum in Bayi Square to the Xinzhou Road Museum to the new museum on Ganjiang North Avenue. The museum has established an exhibition system that combines permanent exhibitions with temporary exhibitions. It consists of 8 permanent exhibitions and 3 temporary exhibition halls. It fully displays the historical pattern and cultural characteristics of Jiangxi.
