About Long Museum West Bund
Long Museum (West Bund) is a private art museum located in the core area of the "West Bund Cultural Corridor" along the Xuhui River in Shanghai. It was founded by collectors Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei and officially opened on March 28, 2014. Its site was formerly known as Beipiao Wharf. The building was designed by Chinese architect Liu Yichun. It features a unique fair-faced concrete "umbrella arch" structure, blending industrial heritage and modern style, with a total area of approximately 33,000 square meters. The museum integrates exhibitions, collections, research and public education. The two above-ground floors mainly display modern and contemporary art, and the underground floor focuses on displaying ancient Chinese art treasures. It also has restaurants, bookstores and other public spaces.
