About Shanghai Municipal History Museum

The Shanghai Urban Historical Development Exhibition Hall is a special museum located on the ground floor of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower, with an exhibition area of approximately 10,000 square meters. The museum uses scene-based restoration and multimedia interactive technology to present the urban changes and cultural features of Shanghai since its opening as a port. The exhibition hall is part of the Oriental Pearl Scenic Area and consists of six themed exhibition halls: "Prologue: Spring and Autumn Period of Cars and Horses", "First Hall: Scenery of the City", "Second Hall: Opening of the Port", "Third Hall: Shili Foreign Market", "Fourth Hall: Old Traces on the Sea" and "Fifth Hall: Architectural Expo".
