About Shanghai Mint Museum
The Shanghai Mint Museum is located at No. 15 Guangfu West Road, Putuo District, Shanghai. It is located in the office building of Shanghai Mint Co., Ltd. (formerly the Shanghai Mint), an "outstanding historical building in Shanghai" on the bank of the Suzhou River. It covers an area of about 600 square meters. Among many coin museums across the country, the Shanghai Mint Museum is unique with its theme of "Coin Minting Craftsmanship". The museum has three exhibition halls: "Modern Coinage Technology Hall", "Contemporary Coinage Hall" and "Mr. Bao Ke's Donated Collection Exhibition Hall", which display a large number of archival treasures such as representative coin products, molds, equipment, coinage techniques and processes of various periods over the past 90 years since the factory was founded.
