About Qiaogang Overseas Chinese History Exhibition Hall
Qiaogang Overseas Chinese History Exhibition Hall is located in Qiaogang Town, Beihai City. It is a branch of the China Overseas Chinese Museum. The construction of the museum started in February 2021 and was renovated using the original production workshop of the Overseas Chinese Shipyard. It will be completed and opened for trial operation in late September 2022. The exhibition hall systematically displays the development process of Qiaogang Town, the only organic town in the country for the resettlement of returned Vietnamese overseas Chinese, since the resettlement of returned Vietnamese overseas Chinese in 1978. The exhibitions in the museum are arranged according to historical stages, including restored scenes of the resettlement building for returned overseas Chinese, and display the characteristics of overseas Chinese hometowns such as Danjia culture.
