About Jiangxi Provincial Geological Museum
The Jiangxi Provincial Geological Museum is a division-level public welfare institution affiliated to the Jiangxi Provincial Geological Bureau. Its history can be traced back to the Jiangxi Geological and Mineral Specimen Laboratory established in 1927. The museum systematically displays Jiangxi's nearly 2 billion years of geological evolution, mineral resources and geological research results through simulation models, geological specimens and multimedia facilities. There are three themed exhibition areas for geoscience popularization, Jiangxi geology, and provincial history, covering core exhibition contents such as paleontological fossils and ores and minerals. The museum is responsible for geological science education and carries out Earth Day-themed activities and popular science lectures every year, reaching tens of thousands of visitors.
