About Heilongjiang Provincial Museum

Heilongjiang Provincial Museum is located in Nangang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. It was built in 1906. The main building is a European Baroque building, which is the site of the former Russian shopping mall. It is a national first-class protected building. In 2006, it was listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. After the founding of New China, the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum became one of the first provincial-level comprehensive public welfare museums in the country that integrates historical relics, natural specimens, and works of art. It is responsible for the protection, excavation, collection, collection, research, and display of historical relics, revolutionary relics, ethnic cultural relics, and natural specimens in Heilongjiang Province.
