About Luoyang Museum
Luoyang Museum is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Nie Tai Road and Wenbo Road, Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It covers an area of 300 acres and has a construction area of 62,000 square meters, including 42,000 square meters above ground and 20,000 square meters underground. The total investment is 350 million yuan. It is a comprehensive museum integrating cultural relic collection, scientific research, display and exhibition, social education and cultural exchange. Luoyang Museum was founded in May 1958, and its original location is located in Guanlin, Luonan, Luoyang. It was moved to No. 289 Zhongzhou Road, Xigong District in 1972. Construction of the new museum started in 2007 and was completed in February 2009. It was fully opened to the public on April 16, 2011.
