About Marine Life Museum
Shengsi Marine Life Museum is a marine science museum located at No. 127, Donghai Road, Caiyuan Town, Shengsi County, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It is affiliated to the Shengsi County Youth Palace. The museum was prepared for construction in March 1994 and opened to the public on May 4 of the same year. It has a total area of more than 170 square meters and is divided into three exhibition halls. The opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday every week. In 1996, the museum was listed as a patriotism education base in Zhoushan City. Since then, it has also won titles such as a municipal science popularization education base and a provincial science popularization education base. The museum collects more than 350 species of marine life specimens, divided into eight categories such as coelenterates, echinoderms, and fish, including a variety of rare species.
