About Jinan City Museum
Jinan Museum, a national first-class museum, is a large-scale local comprehensive museum in Shandong Province. It is located at No. 30 Jingshi Road, Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The museum was built in December 1958. In 1997, the new Jinan Museum was officially put into use. In 2008, Jinan Museum was opened to the whole society free of charge. In 2009, it was rated as a national second-level museum. The museum covers an area of 8,500 square meters, with a construction area of 6,300 square meters, including 2,400 square meters of display area. It is mainly responsible for the collection, storage, display, publicity and scientific research of movable cultural relics in the city. It has a storage department, a display and education department, a security department and an administrative office.
