About Shen residence

Jingye Hall, also known as Shen Hall, is located in Nanshi Street, Zhouzhuang Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. It was built in the seventh year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1742). Jingye Hall covers an area of more than 2,900 square meters, with a brick and wood structure, a single eaves hard top, and a chicken ridge on the small green tile roof. It is 8.3 meters wide in three rooms, 9.2 meters deep in 8 rooms, and has a flat eaves height of 2.9 meters. In the four inner realms, there is Hejingxuan in front and Shuangbu in the back. The Xuan beams are engraved with exquisite carvings and painted with gold. Lotus stools are placed on the four boundary beams to sit on, and mountain boundary beams are placed on the bucket. The side steps are equipped with floor-to-ceiling covers. There are wing rooms on both sides, connecting the hall.
