About Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History
The Inner Mongolia Natural History Museum is located at No. 13, South Second Ring Road, Saihan District, Hohhot City. It was officially opened on November 10, 2018, with a total construction area of 48,759 square meters and an exhibition area of 21,795 square meters. It has five themed exhibition halls: Magnificent Inner Mongolia, Ancient Inner Mongolia, Rich Inner Mongolia, Green Inner Mongolia, and the Hometown of Dinosaurs, covering 13 fields of natural resources including agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, water, animals, plants, and paleontology. The building is connected by a four-story corridor between the east and west districts and is equipped with a 4D cinema, a dome cinema and an outdoor mineral park. There are currently 44,889 pieces (groups) in the collection, including paleontological fossils, mineral specimens, etc.
