About Zhengzhou Museum
Zhengzhou Museum is a comprehensive urban museum in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is one of the first batch of "National First-Class Museums". The predecessor of Zhengzhou Museum was the Zhengzhou Cultural Relics Exhibition Room established in August 1928. It was formally established in 1957 and named Zhengzhou Museum. In 1997, the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to build a new museum. On December 28, 1999, the new museum was completed and opened to the public. On May 18, 2008, Zhengzhou Museum was rated as a "National First-Class Museum". On April 30, 2021, the Wenhan Street Museum of Zhengzhou Museum officially opened to the public, forming a new pattern of parallel and common development of the two museums.
