About Lu Dingyi's former residence
The ancestral home of Lu Dingyi is located in Laolu Lane, Tianyi Community, Yanqiao Street. It is the birthplace of Comrade Lu Dingyi and the place where he lived in his childhood. The ancestral residence was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and covers an area of 600 square meters. In the ancestral residence, there is a display of Comrade Lu Dingyi’s life and deeds. It is a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Wuxi City. Comrades Peng Chong and Song Ping inscribed the ancestral residence of Lu Dingyi. In October 2004, Yanqiao Street invested more than 1.7 million yuan to protect and restore Lu Dingyi's ancestral residence, which was officially opened to the public on June 8, 2006.
