About Han Yangling Archaeological Exhibition Hall

The Han Yangling Mausoleum Archaeological Exhibition Hall is a comprehensive heritage museum established based on the Yangling Mausoleum site of Emperor Jing of the Han Dynasty. It was officially opened to the public in 1999. The museum adopts a fully underground building structure and is China's first immersive museum that combines modern technology with ancient civilization. It displays nearly 2,000 exquisite cultural relics unearthed from the archaeological excavations of Han Yangling, including warrior figurines, female figurines sitting in plastic clothes with hands raised, and tea specimens from 2100 years ago. The exhibition hall consists of four major exhibition areas. Among them, the exhibition hall for the protection of the imperial mausoleum outer pit site was designated as a demonstration project for the protection and display of world cultural relics in 2005.
