About Daming Palace National Heritage Park
The Daming Palace National Heritage Park, also known as the Daming Palace Scenic Area in Xi’an City, is located at No. 585, Ziqiang East Road, Xincheng District, Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province. Construction of Daming Palace began in the eighth year of the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty (634 AD), initially known as Yong’an Palace; in the first month of the ninth year of the Zhenguan era (635 AD), it was renamed Daming Palace, which served as the central administrative hub for the Tang Dynasty for more than 200 years. In the first year of Tianyou during the Tang Dynasty (904 AD), Daming Palace was abandoned and reduced to ruins. On October 1, 2010, Daming Palace National Heritage Park was completed and opened to the public.
