About Chang Le Gate
Changle Gate, the due east gate of Xi'an City Wall, is located south of the middle of the east city wall. From the seventh to the eleventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1374 to 1378), Changle Gate was built during the expansion of Xi'an Fucheng, which was followed in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Changle Gate is an integral part of Xi'an City Wall and Forest of Steles Historical and Cultural Scenic Area, which is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Changle Gate contains the Weng City, the Arrow Tower, the Main Tower and the Second Door Opening. In addition, three openings are opened on both sides of the city gate for the passage of vehicles and pedestrians.
