About Bingxin Memorial Hall

Bing Xin Memorial Hall is located in the former residence of the Inspector-General of Dongguan Customs in Yantai Mountain Scenic Area, Yantai City, Shandong Province. The building was built in 1863 and is in the British Asian colonial verandah style. It has a brick and wood structure, a sloping tile roof on four sides, verandahs on all sides, indoor wooden floors, ceilings and fireplaces. The building area is 514 square meters. In 2006, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit as part of the Yantai Mountain Modern Building Group. The museum was completely renovated and converted into the Bing Xin Memorial Hall in 2008. It was officially opened to the public on August 3 of the same year. It is now managed by the Scenic Area Management Branch of Yantai Blue Sky Cultural Tourism Management Co., Ltd. It is open to the public free of charge and is equipped with docents.
