About Yantai Art Museum 2
Yantai Art Museum is located at No. 20 Haihan Road, Zhifu District, Yantai City. It was completed and opened on November 15, 1984. It is a local museum integrating collection, research, exhibition, and creation. It is also the earliest prefecture-level art museum in China. It is also the only art institution in the country that integrates the functions of an art gallery and a museum. In 2021, it merged with the Yantai Painting Academy to establish the new Yantai Art Museum (Yantai Painting Academy), with a construction area of 3,200 square meters. The museum is equipped with exhibition halls, academic lecture halls, art shops, book bars, coffee shops and other public service facilities. Opening hours are from 9:00 to 16:30 daily (closed on Mondays). The museum currently has a collection of 7,995 works, covering categories such as Chinese painting, calligraphy, oil painting, and folk art.
