About Chengdu Sui and Tang Kiln Site Museum

The Chengdu Sui and Tang Kiln Site Museum is located at No. 31, Section 2, West 1st Ring Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is a special ceramics museum established on the archaeological site of the Qingyang Palace Kiln (Sui and Tang Kiln Sites). The kiln site was discovered in 1954. It is the largest and best-preserved comprehensive kiln site from the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Sichuan Province to date. Its discovery has filled a gap in the distribution of ancient ceramic sites in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The museum was renamed and established in 2004 from the original cultural relics depository. It has a collection of nearly 2,000 ceramic artifacts and systematically displays the history of ceramic development in the Chengdu Plain from the Neolithic Age to the Ming Dynasty.
