About NANJING CITY WALL MUSEUM
The Nanjing City Wall Museum is located at No. 1, Laomen Dongbianying, Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to the Chinese Gate Urn City. It is a national first-class museum with a total construction area of 12,000 square meters. As a special museum on the history and culture of ancient Chinese city walls and a display site for world cultural heritage, it is the largest special city wall museum in China. On August 8, 2018, the Nanjing City Wall Museum broke ground. On December 28, 2021, the Nanjing City Wall Museum opened for trial operation. As of the end of 2019, the Nanjing City Wall Museum has a collection of 1,718 pieces/sets, including 166 precious cultural relics/sets. It has held 16 exhibitions, 30 educational activities, and 2.42 million visitors.
