About Suzhou Soochow Museum
Suzhou Soochow Museum was established in 2011 and is located at No. 20 Hongxi Road, Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Suzhou High-tech Zone, with a construction area of 6,000 square meters. The museum was jointly constructed by Suzhou Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone and Mr. Chen Fengjiu in June 2010. It is the first "public-private-subsidized" museum. The name of the museum was inscribed by Lu Zhangshen, the former director of the National Museum and a famous calligrapher. The collections in the museum are provided by the famous collector and connoisseur Chen Fengjiu, covering bronze mirrors, celadon, stone carvings and other series. In October 2013, Suzhou Cultural Relics Bureau and Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau organized national experts to identify and grade the cultural relics in the collection.
