About Temple of Wealth

The Temple of Wealth is located at the northernmost end of Heping Road, Donghe District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It was built in the ninth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1804) and completed in September of the tenth year of Jiaqing (1805). It was initiated by Lang Qianli, a native of Daizhou, Shanxi. The architectural layout is an entrance courtyard, facing west to east, including the Temple of Wealth, Duo Hall, wing rooms, bell and drum towers, etc. A stage was built on the east side of the Temple of Wealth in the 22nd year of Jiaqing (1817). During the urban reconstruction in 2005, the east and west buildings were demolished; during the reconstruction of Beiliang shanty town, the Grand Stage of Caishen Temple was preserved and restored as a cultural relic.
