About Jinan Port Museum
Jinan Port Museum is located on the west side of the north gate of Zhongshan Park in Jinan City. It is led by the Jinan Municipal Party Committee Party History Research Institute. It has a total construction area of 3,700 square meters and a 2-story building above ground. It will start trial operation on May 1, 2025. The museum presents the modern history of Jinan’s opening of the port through six themed exhibition areas: self-opened commercial port, rise of new city, commercial port industry, commercial port life, new forces, and revitalization and opening up. It uses AR glasses, touch screen interaction, digital sand table, AI navigation and digital twin technology to build a three-dimensional commercial port model to achieve a full-scenario interactive experience. It also sets up a "travel train" somatosensory device to simulate the driving process of a steam train in 1904.
