About Shaanxi Sports Museum 4 3
Shaanxi Sports Museum is a free and open sports public welfare museum. The project was approved by the Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission in 2007 and construction started in May 2008. The museum has a total exhibition area of 1,987 square meters and a collection of 1,939 items. The basic exhibition hall displays the development process of ancient sports, modern sports, red sports and contemporary sports in Shaanxi; the sports boutique exhibition hall contains portraits of Shaanxi sports stars, medals, trophies, certificates, etc. won by Shaanxi athletes in major domestic and foreign events; the sports interactive experience area mainly arranges ancient sports, modern sports and sports science popularization experience projects.
