About Changsha Jiandu Museum
Changsha Slips Museum is located at No. 92 Baisha Road, Tianxin District, Changsha City. Founded in 2002, it is the first modern thematic museum in China that integrates the collection, protection, arrangement, research and display of slips. Changsha Slip Museum covers an area of 30 acres, with a main building area of 14,100 square meters, a green square of more than 8,000 square meters, and an exhibition area of about 5,000 square meters, divided into two floors. The collection mainly includes more than 140,000 chronological slips from the Sun and Wu period of the Three Kingdoms unearthed in Changsha in 1996 and more than 2,000 chronological slips from the early Western Han Dynasty discovered in 2003. In addition, there are about 3,500 other collections such as bronze, lacquer wood, calligraphy and painting, gold and silver.
