About Shandong Archaeological Museum
The Shandong Archaeological Museum is a comprehensive museum approved by the Shandong Provincial Organization Office and officially launched in April 2022. It is affiliated to the Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology (a public welfare institution directly under the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism). The institute is branded as a museum. The museum is located in Tangye District, Licheng District, Jinan City, with a total construction area of 16,385 square meters. The museum has the qualification of leading an archaeological excavation team from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. On April 3, 2025, the Shandong Archaeological Museum construction project undertaken by China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau No. 1 Company held a groundbreaking ceremony and officially started construction.
