About East Zhejiang Canal Museum

The East Zhejiang Canal Museum is located in the East Zhejiang Canal Cultural Park, Dongpu Street, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. With the core theme of "connecting the river to the sea and transporting the world", it tells the vicissitudes, water management wisdom and humanistic sentiments of the thousand-year canal. Focusing on the canal culture and water culture, the museum has created the "Canal Four Seasons" characteristic brand, regularly carried out immersive activities such as intangible cultural heritage experiences and traditional cultural performances, and carefully designed study and practice courses for young people to inherit the historical context. On April 7, 2026, the East Zhejiang Canal Museum officially joined the Global Water Museum Alliance (WAMU-NET).
