About Kuaiji's Mountain
Mount Kuaiji, originally known as Mount Mao or Mount Miao, is also referred to as Mount Mu, Mount Fang, Mount Zhen, Mount Fufu, or Mount Wanwei. It is located on East Second Ring Road in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, 6 kilometers from the city center. The mountain got its name because Great Yu, while governing the waters, held a meeting with the feudal lords here and rewarded them based on their contributions. According to historical records, Mount Kuaiji was the place where Great Yu, a legendary hero of ancient China’s water management era, conducted his imperial sacrifices, married, assessed merit, and returned to his final resting place.
