About Modern naval equipment theme exhibition hall
The Modern Naval Equipment Theme Exhibition Hall is a special exhibition hall located next to Xiao Jinguang's former residence in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It was officially opened on January 4, 2022. The museum was jointly built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation and the Hunan Provincial Government. It is positioned as a base for red education and national defense education. It covers an area of nearly 500 square meters and is divided into two exhibition areas: indoor and outdoor. The exhibition hall systematically introduces the evolution of China's naval weapons and equipment since the Opium War through physical objects, models, pictures and texts, focusing on the development results of ship equipment after the establishment of the People's Navy from imitation to independent innovation, and from coastal and offshore waters to deep seas.
